Louis Zorich moves with ease between the stage, film, and television. Zorich has appeared on Broadway in MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM, 45 SECONDS FROM BROADWAY, Encore Series City Center, FOLLIES, SHE LOVES ME, THE MARRIAGE OF FIGARO, ARMS AND THE MAN, DEATH OF A SALESMAN, with Dustin Hoffman, THEY KNEW WHAT THEY WANTED (Drama Desk Nomination) HADRIAN VII (Tony Nomination), HERZL, GOOD TIME CHARLEY, MOONCHILDREN, and FUN CITY.   In Blau and Irving's first year at Lincoln Center Repertory, Mr. Zorich appeared in DANTON'S DEATH, THE COUNTRY WIFE, THE CONDEMNED OF ALTONA, THE ODD COUPLE, MOBY DICK with Rod Steiger and BECKET with Anthony Quinn and Laurence Olivier.

His Off Broadway credits include HENRY IV, Parts I & II, TRUE WEST, SUNSET, THE TEMPEST, GOOD SOLDIER SCHWECK, SIX CHARACTERS IN SEARCH OF AN AUTHOR, TO CLOTHE THE NAKED and HENRY V among others.

He has worked in many regional theatres, especially Williamstown Summer Theatre Festival in plays by Chekhov, Brecht, Euripedes, Pinter, O'Neill, Miller and Williams, often with his wife, Olympia Dukakis, with whom he co-founded the Whole Theatre in Montclair, NJ.

When theatre legend Luther Adler came to Chicago to star in Arthur Miller's A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE, Zorich was cast in the role of Marco.  The production was so successful that Adler decided to take it on tour, eventually closing the show in Toronto.   There, Zorich was immediately hired by the Canadian Broadcasting Company for a one-hour live version of LES MISERABLES, marking the actor's television debut.

Two years later, Zorich moved to New York, where he made an auspicious Broadway debut in BECKET, starring Sir Laurence Olivier and Anthony Quinn.  Among his other Broadway credits are DEATH OF A SALESMAN starring Dustin Hoffman, HADRIAN VII for which he received a Tony Award nomination, THE ODD COUPLE, Shaw's ARMS AND THE MAN, and THEY KNEW WHAT THEY WANTED which earned him a Drama Desk Award nomination.   Zorich's varied Off-Broadway credits include Shakespeare's THE TEMPEST, Pirandello's SIX CHARACTERS IN SEARCH OF AN AUTHOR and Sam Shepard's TRUE WEST.

His film credits include COMMANDMENTS, BLOODHOUNDS OF BROADWAY, FISH IN THE BATHTUB, CITY OF HOPE, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, MUPPETS TAKE MANHATTAN and MADE FOR EACH OTHER.

He has appeared in over 300 TV shows. Zorich was a regular on the TV series BROOKLYN BRIDGE and MAD ABOUT YOU.

Zorich and Dukakis have three grown children -- Christina, Peter, and  Stefan, and three grandchildren.
